mcrotk Boxcryptor is actually not downloading any file before you start accessing it. This means that while all of your files are displayed right away, they don't yet take up space on your Mac.If you still would like to have only a subset of your files and folders displayed in Boxcryptor, I recommend installing the Dropbox Sync Client, doing the Selective Sync there, and add the Dropbox folder to Boxcryptor as a local storage.
The new app is talking directly with the provider online. That means that every folder and file you see when browsing into the Boxcryptor location is not really existing on your system yet. It only gets downloaded when you open it or specifically request "Download Now" from the context menu.
